Toy Zebra began in Campbell River as Crimson Reign. The members have spent years playing together, gaining inspiration from one another, and sharing their passion for music with their audiences.

After playing over 60 shows at many different venues up and down Vancouver Island they made the decision to head to Vancouver and take the next step toward realizing their lifelong dreams. 

Members Cam Wilkison, Callum Jackman, and recently returning member Tanner Aguiar embraced this challenge, rehearsed hard and started playing shows regularly, riding the high of the pulsing music scene in Vancouver.  

To date Toy Zebra lists a range of musicians as influencial, including Iron Maiden,  Muse, the Beatles & The Killers. Interestingly, the band boasts two lead vocalists -- Tanner and Callum -- and at times, all three are known to harmonize.   Despite the youth of the band and it's members Toy Zebra is constantly pushing forward and testing their limits and their abilities. Having begun as primarily heavy metal, their sound has evolved over the past few years. Raw, inovative sound and harmonized vocals can be heard in every song they play.

Along with their tear-the-stage-up originals, the band plays a wide range of covers. They band's setlist includes songs from 80's bands such as Poison, Billy Idol, and Van Halen, as well as the more contemporary music of The Killers, Muse, and the Black Eyed Peas. Toy Zebra executes these covers with a killer guitar sound and wicked vocals, making each cover their own masterpiece.

As a band they are constantly searching for not only a new sound, but a sound that speaks to them -- gets them excited, and incites that can't stop, can't get off the stage, can't get enough feeling. 

Each member loves to play and perform but each also is driven to create. Playing clubs affords the band time in the studio to write their own original songs and realize their own, unique sound,.

To the members of Toy Zebra, songs are like fingerprints -- with every track, with every song, Toy Zebra creates a sound that is uniquely theirs.
